The study tested the effects of 9 weeks of amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC) supplementation (1000 mg/day) and resistance exercise training on one repetition maximum (1-RM) values. The participants significantly improved their mean back squat and bench press 1-RM values, and the ACC group had higher post-pre bench press 1-RM differences compared to the placebo group. No significant difference was observed in the bench press 1-RM values between the groups. The study suggests that ACC supplementation can augment the improvement of maximum amount generated force during resistance training.
